I can remember hearing Umbrella for the first time as though it was yesterday. Rihanna became a superstar but in my peripheral. I didn’t pay too much attention to her music in the 2000s. Actually, I found her voice indistinguishable and her productions also indistinguishable. I finally came around and listened to Only Girl, very recently, maybe 2020.
I am very happy to finish my journey and land on this track. The 2000s, not my favorite decade for music or in my personal life. Still, I must respect the good producers from this era since the young independent producers I work with today are mostly influenced by this music technology.
