It was around this time that I established Rate this Record for the Internet. Originally conceived to shed light on a child custody case from Washington State, I immediately recognized that the name was well suited for my music label. The next year, in 2007, I inaugurated the Rate this Record Dance Music Network. I was committed to championing independent music producers. The Network encompassed a special group of exceptionally talented producers hailing from all over the globe. The winner of our inaugural Producer of the Year contest was DJ George Patsan. If he happens to recall, please extend my regards to him.
In 2007, I became acquainted with Audacity software, and from that moment onward, you may refer to me as a dance music producer. During this period, I was somewhat delusional, overly optimistic about my productions. Nevertheless, alongside aka Rex, I co-produced one of my all-time favorite releases around 2010. Sadly, this marked the end of my collaborative and production endeavors with Rex, but fortunately, we can still relish the fruits of our labor today.
